About the ashram
Santosh Puri Ashram sits 18 km from Rishikesh and 6 km from Haridwar, in the village of Haripur Kalan, its back wall touching the Rajaji National Reserve. From within the cool, green shade of the grounds, you can hear chanting drifting in from neighbouring ashrams — or nothing at all, just the whisper of river-breezes through the trees. A rare quiet in a country full of beautiful sound.
Guests stay in a south-facing dorm block with balconies that look out over the flower and vegetable gardens. The grounds hold a dhuni, a yajnashala, samadhi temples, two yoga halls, a music and arts hall, courtyards and rooftop decks — each space carrying its own quiet power. With the forested banks of the Ganga as the ashram's backyard, it's easy to settle into sadhana.

By reserving your seat in Living Bhakti 2027, you agree to the following:
Your deposit Your $1,000 CAD deposit confirms your place in the retreat. The remaining balance of $2850 CAD is due by February 1, 2027. We'll send a reminder in advance.
Your deposit is non-refundable but transferable to a future retreat within 12 months. After February 1, 2027, the full retreat fee is non-refundable, as commitments to the ashram and contractors have already been made on your behalf.
What's not included The retreat fee does not include:
- International flights to and from India
- Indian visa fees and processing
- Travel insurance (strongly recommended — see below)
- Personal expenses, souvenirs, additional excursions, or gratuities
- Any costs arising from arrival or departure outside the published retreat dates
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and evacuation. India is a deeply rewarding destination but a long way from home — insurance is a small cost for meaningful peace of mind.
Health & Participation: You are responsible for ensuring you are physically and mentally well enough to participate in a 10-day immersive retreat involving yoga, meditation, and travel in India. Please consult your physician before booking if you have any health concerns, and disclose relevant conditions to us in advance so we can support you well.
If the retreat is cancelled by us: In the unlikely event that we must cancel the retreat (due to circumstances beyond our control — illness, geopolitical disruption, ashram closure, etc.), you will receive a full refund of all payments made, or the option to transfer to a future retreat. We are not responsible for non-refundable flights, visas, or other costs you may have incurred.
Conduct: Santosh Puri Ashram is a sacred living space with its own traditions and rhythms. By joining us, you agree to participate respectfully, follow the ashram's guidelines, and engage with fellow participants and facilitators in a spirit of openness and care.
Questions: Please email us at info@shamanicyoga.ca before booking if anything here is unclear. We would love to clarify details with you.
